BassBoss Makara MK3 Description
BassBoss Makara MK3 adds massive sub-bass capability to professional PA systems in a cabinet designed for both depth and punch. Measuring half the size of the larger Kraken design, the Makara MK3 is built for applications that need very high output and extended low-frequency response without moving to the largest-format subwoofer cabinets.
The hybrid enclosure uses a large vented acoustic volume combined with short-horn loading to increase sensitivity in the upper operating range. This design allows the Makara MK3 to deliver deep, effortless lows while maintaining the transient response and punch needed for dance music, live production, touring, and festival-grade sound reinforcement.
Dual 21" neodymium woofers are powered by 5000W of Class-D amplification, producing a frequency response of 23 Hz to 100 Hz and up to 143 dB peak SPL. The globally compatible power supply supports 100 to 240 VAC operation, while the amplifier cooling system uses passive heatsinking, woofer-generated airflow, and radial fans when additional cooling is required.
The BassBoss Makara MK3 includes comprehensive 96 kHz DSP with high-pass filters, low-pass filters, equalization, alignment filters, and limiting. Eight presets are accessible directly from the amplifier, while up to 100 presets can be stored onboard and accessed through software using the LAN connection.
Built from extensively braced Baltic birch plywood with polyurethane and steel components, the Makara MK3 is made for professional touring and installation environments. Waterproof mains connectors, coated woofers, and a durable waterproof finish provide added confidence in demanding event conditions.
