DAS Vantec 218A Description
DAS Vantec 218A is engineered for users who need serious low-end reinforcement from a compact powered enclosure. Its dual 18-inch DAS 18LX drivers use long-excursion designs, 4-inch voice coils, and large magnet structures to support high power handling and strong output for demanding professional applications.
The onboard Class D amplifier delivers 2000W continuous and 4000W peak power, supported by switch-mode power supply technology and integrated DSP. With a maximum peak SPL of 140dB and frequency response down to 30 Hz in Deep mode, the Vantec 218A is well suited for high-impact music playback, live sound reinforcement, DJ systems, and performance venues.
System control includes balanced A-B inputs, stereo HPF filtered outputs for satellite systems, defeatable HPF for loop-thru connections, a variable 80 Hz to 125 Hz low-pass crossover, gain control, and polarity reverse. These options make it easy to integrate the subwoofer into a wide range of PA configurations.
The birch plywood enclosure is finished in durable ISO-flex black paint and protected by a powder-coated steel front grille. Side and rear handles, rear wheels, and M10 rigging points provide practical handling and installation flexibility for touring, rental, and fixed sound environments.
