Wharfedale Pro WLA-28A-BL Description
The Wharfedale Pro WLA-28A-BL is part of the WLA-28A active line array system, built for applications that require scalable output, precise control, and consistent coverage. Its 2-way configuration uses two 8-inch ferrite LF drivers and a 3-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver for strong low-mid projection and detailed high-frequency performance.
Powered by internal Class D amplification, the system delivers LF: 650W / HF: 100W continuous power and LF: 1300W / HF: 200W peak power. DSP-based processing with 8 resident FIR presets helps maintain accurate phase response, smooth frequency performance, and clear vocal and music reproduction across demanding live sound environments.
The enclosure is constructed from 15 mm / 18 mm birch plywood with a black Tough-Tone finish and steel grille, giving the WLA-28A-BL the durability needed for rental, touring, and permanent installation use. Integrated 3-point rigging supports flown deployment, while ground-stacked configurations are also supported as part of the larger WLA-28A system.
For system control and maintenance, the Wharfedale Pro WLA-28A-BL includes XLR combo input, XLR link output, USB Type B updates, RJ45 RS485 networking, powerCON AC input, and powerCON loop-through. It also includes independent LF/HF limiters, amplifier thermal protection, DC and short protection, and clear LED status indicators for reliable operation in the field.
